Generally employees with at least one year at the same workplace who leave for a justified reason or are dismissed without one. Retirement, military service and some other cases can also qualify; ask an employment lawyer.
Which pay is used?
Not the bare salary but the gross pay including regular benefits such as transport, meals and bonuses. Enter that total.
What is the severance ceiling?
The state sets a maximum per year of service for each period. If your pay is above it, the calculation uses the ceiling. Look up the current figure in official announcements.
